Support
the Rodeo

We are excited to invite you to join us in supporting the Eight Seconds Juneteenth Rodeo, a one-of-a-kind event that celebrates Black cowboys and cowgirls and gathers community in Portland, OR.

But our mission goes beyond just hosting a rodeo. We want to create opportunities for young Black Portlanders to learn horsemanship, a skill that has been a part of Black culture for centuries but has been largely overlooked until recently.

That’s why along with funding this event we are raising funds to provide scholarships for young Black Portlanders who want to learn the art of horsemanship. By supporting these scholarships, you are not only investing in the future of these young people, but you are also investing in the future of Black cowboy culture in the Pacific Northwest.

Imagine a new generation of Black cowboys and cowgirls riding proudly through the streets of Portland, representing a long-standing tradition that has been part of Black culture since the early days of the Wild West. With your support, we can make the rodeo and this vision a reality.

But we can’t do it without you. So please, take a moment to donate to the Eight Seconds Juneteenth Rodeo and the scholarship fund today.

Thank you for your generosity and support.
